Gestalt Psychotherapy
I works side-by-side with clients as Gestalt therapist supporting them to embrace life's challenges and deepen mind-body awareness. I offer sessions online or in-person in the inner north of Melbourne.
MY APPROACH
I am a PACFA registered Gestalt psychotherapist who is passionate about change, embodiment, and relationships. I work collaboratively with my clients to create a safe, comfortable environment with the intention of supporting to expand their awareness and develop inner resources to fully embrace life's challenges.
My approach is grounded in Gestalt's holistic philosophy, which believes in our inherent wholeness, resilience, and interconnectedness with the world around us. I work side-by-side my clients, to deepen their understanding of how they relate to themselves and their world to help create more choice.
The work I do with clients is embedded in an embodied approach that supports the deepening of connection to mind and body. This can help get to the root of issues, supporting healing, growth, and a greater sense of choice-fullness in life. My decade of experience as a teacher of Open Floor—a free-form therapeutic movement practice— supports me to foster a greater mind-body awareness. I integrate other evidence-based and trauma-informed techniques such as Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness.
I work with clients navigating life's transitions and challenges, relationship issues and longings, grief and loss, trauma healing, depression, and anxiety. Some seek support through thresholds, others desiring change and growth. In our initial meeting, we connect and ensure we are a good fit, whilst identifying your therapy goals. My approach in each session is to be curious and attentive to your needs, guided by your goals and what emerges in the present moment.
Drawing on my own therapy experiences, I deeply respect the courage it takes to reach out for support. I offer open-ended and fixed-term therapy for adults, in-person in the inner-north of Melbourne and online. If you're interested in working together, I invite you to book a free short phone consultation so we can explore if we're a good fit.
FEES
While I don't offer Medicare rebates, my fees are similar to the out-of-pocket expenses with a psychologist. For medium- or long-term therapy, my services are likely more affordable. Concession spots are available for health care card holders, students, and those in financial hardship.
